MBAIKE: Akarachi Amadi Dedicates Mandate to God
…as he receives his Certificate of Return to Represent the good People of Mbaitoli Ikeduru in the National Assembly.
Engr Akarachi Amad the newly elected House of Representatives member, to represent the people of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru in the National Assembly, yesterday in his hometown of Eziama in Ikeduru Local Government, gave thanks to God for granting him victory at the polls.
Akarachi defeated candidates of other political parties, including the current Ikeduru House of Assembly member, and candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Uche Ogbuagu at the just concluded elections.
The MBAIKE election was initially ruled as inconclusive following the inability of the electoral body to conduct elections in some areas across the two local governments.
Akarachi was declared winner after the supplementary election which took place on the 15th of April, 2023.
During his Homily, the Reverend Father of St Michael's Catholic parish Eziama Rev. Father George Ahamefule encouraged Christians to follow Jesus Christ who died on the cross of Calvary for our sins as we continue to reflect and celebrate the Easter octave. He also congratulated Engr.Akarachi Amadi the member Elect, urging him to always follow the path of Christ and always remember the people who gave him their mandate.
Engr Akarachi Amadi while giving thanks to God for granting him victory, called on his fellow contestants who might feel wronged in one way or the other during the contest, to sheath their swords and join hands with him to move MBAIKE forward.
"I seek for peace in Eziama," Akarachi Amadi stated. "For peace in Ikeduru, for peace in Mbaitoli, I'm using this medium to ask all that contested the Federal House of Reps with Akarachi to come together let us work for Ndi MBAIKE."
He further asked for forgiveness from anybody who felt offended during the course of campaign and election, to forgive him.
Akarachi Amadi insisted that MBAIKE must move forward and pledged to ensure he gives his best for the people.
Akarachi Amadi, on behalf of the Amadi's family, made a donation of one million two hundred and fifty thousand naira to support the God's work at St Michaels Catholic parish Eziama.
His donation was supported by other donations from friends and political allies who were in attendance.
